Willow Weaving Workshops

Discover the Art of Willow Weaving in Enniscorthy
Join us for a twelve-week willow weaving experience at Enniscorthy Community Allotments, starting Wednesday, 27 May 2026. These hands-on sessions place an ancient craft in the hands of today’s students, blending creativity, sustainability, and community in a welcoming setting open to all ages.
Places are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
What to Expect
Led by tutor Sindy Offer, these sessions give you the opportunity to explore your creative expression by weaving tangible, practical items for the home and garden. The course is deceptively simple to follow, yet deeply rewarding. Each participant arrives at similar yet beautifully unique results by the end.
Willow weaving is tactile, eco-friendly, and sustainable. It is also wonderfully therapeutic, encouraging creativity and a deeper connection to the natural environment.
What You Will Make
Over the twelve weeks, you will work with natural willow to create practical household and garden items. No two pieces are ever exactly alike, making every finished item a personal expression of the maker.
The tactile process of weaving brings diverse personalities peacefully together around a common purpose. One of the things that makes this experience so special.
Who Is This Course For?
These sessions are open to adults, older adults, families, and young people. Whether you are picking up a craft for the first time or returning to something you love, willow weaving offers something meaningful for everyone.
No prior experience is needed.
