Free Horticulture Workshop in Enniscorthy

This free horticulture workshop in Enniscorthy is your chance to learn practical growing skills in a friendly, hands-on environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner curious about growing your own food or an experienced gardener looking to brush up on techniques, this eight-week course is open to everyone.
Led by Louise Murphy from WWETB Community Education, the workshop takes place every Friday morning at Enniscorthy Community Allotments. You’ll join a welcoming group of people who share a love of growing, learning, and getting stuck in together.
What You’ll Learn at This Free Horticulture Workshop
Over the eight weeks, you’ll build confidence across a wide range of practical gardening skills. Sessions will cover seasonal growing and what to plant when, how to take cuttings and propagate plants, composting basics and how to create nutrient-rich soil, tool sharpening and maintenance to keep your equipment in top shape, and plenty more tips you can put into practice straight away.
Each session blends a bit of know-how with lots of hands-on learning. You’ll leave with skills you can use in your own garden, on an allotment plot, or wherever you choose to grow.
If you’re new to Enniscorthy Community Allotments, this workshop is a wonderful introduction to our community. We’re committed to inclusion and to creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.
What to Bring
Come ready to get your hands dirty! Bring a pair of gardening gloves and wear clothes you don’t mind getting mucky. All other materials and tools will be provided.
