Weโ€™re thrilled to share that WWETB (Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board) has sanctioned a Horticulturist for Community Education for 4 hoursย  per week to support our members and local community right here at the Enniscorthy Community Allotments. ๐ŸŒฟ

This means weโ€™ll now be offering free horticulture workshops for our members and community groups โ€” helping everyone learn more about sustainable gardening, food growing, and nature-based wellbeing.

๐ŸŒป Workshop Details

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ Group 1
๐Ÿ—“ Starts: Friday, 24th October
๐Ÿ•ค Time: 9:30 AM โ€“ 11:30 AM

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ Group 2
๐Ÿ—“ Starts: Friday, 28th November
๐Ÿ•ค Time: 9:30 AM โ€“ 11:30 AM

The two remaining weekly hours will be invested on community groups.ย

Each session will be guided by a qualified Horticulturist from WWETB, focusing on practical skills, hands-on learning, and community collaboration in the allotments. Whether youโ€™re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this is a wonderful opportunity to dig in, grow your confidence, and learn alongside others in a relaxed, supportive space. ๐ŸŒธ

๐ŸŒฟ Why This Matters

This initiative is a fantastic step forward for community learning in Enniscorthy.
By providing access to horticulture education, weโ€™re nurturing not only plants โ€” but also skills, friendships, and wellbeing across our local area.

A huge thank you to WWETB for their continued support and belief in the value of community education.

We canโ€™t wait to welcome everyone to the allotments and get our hands in the soil together! ๐ŸŒผ
