Starting Friday, August 8, 2025, and running through to September, this free weekly course invites you to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and explore how being in nature supports our wellbeing — mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Nature therapy, also known as ecotherapy, is a gentle, evidence-based practice that uses the outdoors to improve our sense of balance, presence, and inner calm.

Nestled among blooming flowers, the allotments provide a peaceful setting that’s ideal for this kind of work.
The course is led by Deirdre Cummins, a nature therapy facilitator and advocate for mental health and community wellbeing. Deirdre brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work and believes nature offers all of us space to restore and reconnect.
This course is completely free and open to adults of all ages and backgrounds.
