DESCRIPTION:This free horticulture workshop in Enniscorthy is your chance to learn practical growing skills in a friendly\, hands-on environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner curious about growing your own food or an experienced gardener looking to brush up on techniques\, this eight-week course is open to everyone. \nLed by Louise Murphy from WWETB Community Education\, the workshop takes place every Friday morning at Enniscorthy Community Allotments. You’ll join a welcoming group of people who share a love of growing\, learning\, and getting stuck in together. \nWhat You’ll Learn at This Free Horticulture Workshop\nOver the eight weeks\, you’ll build confidence across a wide range of practical gardening skills. Sessions will cover seasonal growing and what to plant when\, how to take cuttings and propagate plants\, composting basics and how to create nutrient-rich soil\, tool sharpening and maintenance to keep your equipment in top shape\, and plenty more tips you can put into practice straight away. \nEach session blends a bit of know-how with lots of hands-on learning. You’ll leave with skills you can use in your own garden\, on an allotment plot\, or wherever you choose to grow. \nIf you’re new to Enniscorthy Community Allotments\, this workshop is a wonderful introduction to our community. We’re committed to inclusion and to creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued. \nWhat to Bring\nCome ready to get your hands dirty! Bring a pair of gardening gloves and wear clothes you don’t mind getting mucky. DESCRIPTION:Irresistible Outdoors at Enniscorthy Allotments\nNurture yourself through nature. \nWe’re thrilled to announce a brand new Therapeutic Horticulture programme coming to the allotments this spring and summer. Over 13 weeks\, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with nature\, learn new skills\, and find peace in the garden\, all guided by the wonderful Coralie Ryan. \nThis is a pilot programme supported by Wexford County Council and Sláintecare Healthy Communities\, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming Coralie to our community. \nAbout the Programme\nIrresistible Outdoors at Enniscorthy Allotments is a 13-week therapeutic horticulture programme designed to help participants foster wellbeing through hands-on gardening activities. Each session combines mindfulness\, seasonal awareness\, and practical horticulture in a supportive and welcoming environment. \nEvery session follows a gentle\, structured format: \n\n5 mins: Greeting and explaining the session\n10 mins: Mindful beginning and seasonal awareness\n30 mins: Activity\n5 mins: Q&A arising from the activity\n5 mins: Mindful closing\n5 mins: Feedback and goodbyes\n\nMeet Coralie Ryan\nCoralie Ryan is a qualified Therapeutic Horticulturist with over a decade of experience working in gardens\, schools\, and private estates. She holds Royal Horticultural Society qualifications at Levels 2 and 3\, and has qualifications in Social & Therapeutic Horticulture with Thrive UK. \nCoralie believes that the beauty of a garden is found in the life it supports\, both emotional and tangible.
